The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has announced a vacancy for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is inviting applications from eligible candidates. The hiring process will be carried out through open competition, as per the rules outlined in the Securities Exchange Market Operation Regulations, 2064.
To qualify for the position, applicants must hold a postgraduate degree or equivalent in fields such as Economics, Commerce, Finance, Management, Information Technology, Law, or Chartered Accountancy. Additionally, candidates must have at least 15 years of professional experience, with at least 7 years in a senior management role in the financial sector, capital market, or a related field.
Interested candidates must submit their application along with two passport-sized photos and four copies of a professional work plan. An application fee of Rs. 7,500 must be deposited at Rastriya Banijya Bank’s Singha Durbar branch, and the original deposit voucher should be included with the application.
The salary, benefits, and allowances for the CEO will be determined by NEPSE with approval from the Government of Nepal.
To ensure a fair selection process, the Ministry of Finance has set up a three-member recommendation committee, chaired by Joint Secretary Sebantak Pokharel. Other members include Joint Secretary Amrit Lamsal and financial expert Dr. Khom Raj Kharel.
