Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals’ IPO Closes Today After Being Oversubscribed 13.27 Times

The initial public offering (IPO) of Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited is closing today, Chaitra 3, 2081, after receiving an overwhelming response from investors. The company had opened 14,76,000 shares to the public at a face value of Rs. 100 per share on Falgun 27, 2081.

Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals has a total capital of Rs. 60 crores, with 30% (18,00,000 shares worth Rs. 18 crores) allocated for public issuance. Of these, 1,80,000 shares (10%) were reserved for Nepalese working abroad, while 90,000 shares (5%) were set aside for mutual funds and 54,000 shares (3%) for company employees. The remaining 14,76,000 shares were made available to the general public, and the application period for these shares ends today.

Prabhu Capital Limited is managing the IPO, allowing investors to apply for a minimum of 10 shares and a maximum of 10,000 shares. According to CDSC, the IPO has attracted 16,18,978 applicants, who have collectively applied for 1,96,00,430 shares, making it oversubscribed by 13.27 times.

CARE Ratings Nepal Limited (CRNL) has assigned Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals a ‘CARE-NP BB- (Is)’ rating, indicating a moderate risk in meeting financial obligations. The company’s long-term bank facilities also hold a ‘CARE-NP BB-’ rating, while its short-term bank facilities have been rated ‘CARE-NP A4’.

Established on June 12, 2016, Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals is a Nepal-based public company supported by both institutional and individual investors. The company manufactures pharmaceutical products at its plant in Chitwan and began partial operations on February 19, 2024
