The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) faced a decline today, with the index falling by 21.63 points (0.79%) to close at 2,714.85. This drop follows a previous session gain of 17.28 points.
The trading session began at 2,735.97, and the index fluctuated between a high of 2,739.55 and a low of 2,693.55. The total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 6.83 Arba, with 13,974,452 shares traded across 316 companies through 79,031 transactions.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) topped the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 58.66 Crores, and its stock closed at Rs. 1000.
Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SLBSL) saw the highest gain, rising by 8.19%, while Green Development Bank Ltd. (GRDBL) experienced the steepest drop, falling by 7.91%.
Among sectoral indices, the Trading Index posted the highest gain, rising by 4.92%, while the Development Bank Index faced the largest loss, dropping by 2.25%.
