Matribhumi Laghubitta has announced its general meeting for Baisakh 2, 2082 (Tuesday). The company has decided to close its book on Chaitra 22, 2081, meaning that only shareholders holding shares until Chaitra 21 will be eligible to participate. This time, the company has not proposed any dividends.
During the meeting, the annual report for the fiscal year 2080/81, the auditor’s report, the balance sheet, the profit and loss statement, and the cash flow statement will be discussed and approved. Additionally, the financial statements of the previously merged Jalpa Community Laghubitta will also be reviewed.
The meeting will also appoint an auditor for the fiscal year 2081/82 and determine their remuneration.
Moreover, elections will be held for four board members from the founder shareholders’ group and two from the general shareholders’ group.
As a special proposal, the company plans to issue a Follow-on Public Offering (FPO). The meeting will also discuss merger and acquisition plans with other Class ‘D’ microfinance institutions licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank and authorize the Board of Directors to take necessary actions for the process.
