Nabil Bank Limited has accepted the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana and appointed Senior Deputy CEO Manoj Kumar Gyawali as the Acting CEO.
The bank’s board of directors made this decision in a meeting held on Wednesday at 8:30 AM. Dhungana had submitted his resignation, effective from Chaitra 10, as he is reportedly aiming to compete for the position of Governor at Nepal Rastra Bank.
Manoj Gyawali joined Nabil Bank in Jestha 2077 as Deputy General Manager and was later promoted to General Manager, Deputy CEO, and eventually Senior Deputy CEO. With extensive experience in the banking sector, he is also a Chartered Accountant.
