Sahas Urja Sees 74% Profit Surge in Nine Months, Earns Over Rs 830 Million

Sahas Urja Company Limited has shown strong growth in the first nine months of the current fiscal year. According to the company’s recently published financial report, it earned a net profit of Rs 834.1 million during this period. This is a 74.45% increase compared to the same period last year, when the profit was Rs 478.1 million.

The increase in profit came mainly from higher income from electricity sales and lower company expenses. Revenue from electricity sales rose from Rs 2.02 billion to Rs 2.14 billion, showing a growth of about 5.84%. The company also earned Rs 3.3 million from other sources.

Sahas Urja successfully reduced its administrative and financial costs. Administrative expenses went down from Rs 71.7 million to Rs 57.5 million. Similarly, financial expenses dropped from Rs 916.8 million to Rs 629.8 million.

As of now, the company’s reserve fund has reached Rs 3.10 billion. The company has a paid-up capital of Rs 3.78 billion. Its total current assets stand at Rs 1.03 billion, while its current liabilities are Rs 2.16 billion.

During the review period, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) was Rs 29.42, and the net worth per share was Rs 182.18.
