Sagarmatha Hydropower Company Limited has applied to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) for approval to issue right shares. The company plans to issue *100% right shares*, meaning one new share for every share currently held by investors.
Sagarmatha Hydropower is seeking approval to issue *1 crore 17 lakh 32 thousand* (11,732,000) right shares. NMB Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for this process.
Currently, the company has a paid-up capital of *Rs. 1.17 Arba* (Rs. 1.1732 billion). After the proposed right share issuance in the ratio of *1:1*, the paid-up capital will double, reaching *Rs. 2.34 Arba* (Rs. 2.3464 billion).
This move will help the company strengthen its financial base, possibly for expansion or repayment of liabilities.
