The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 9.08 points (or 0.34%) today and closed at 2,655.38. This comes after a previous loss of 13.69 points.

The index started the day at 2,665.23, reached a high of 2,672.42, and a low of 2,654.69. A total of Rs. 12.51 Arba worth of shares were traded today. In total, 2.86 crore shares of 311 companies were exchanged in 1,02,895 transactions.

Among the stocks, Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) had the highest turnover at Rs. 1.08 Arba, closing at Rs. 408.

Pure Energy Limited (PURE) was the top gainer, hitting the upper price limit. On the other hand, Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) dropped the most, falling 9.90%.

Looking at sectors, Hotels and Tourism was the only one to rise today, gaining 2.14%, while the Trading sector saw the biggest loss of 1.09%.
