Chhyangdi Hydropower Company Limited (CHL) has extended the deadline for its ongoing right share offering. The offering first opened on Jestha 23, 2082, and was originally supposed to close on Ashad 12, 2082. However, the company has now announced that the new closing date is Ashad 27, 2082.
Chhyangdi Hydropower is offering 100% right shares to its current shareholders. This means they are giving one new share for every one share already owned. The total number of right shares being issued is 3,869,775, with a total value of Rs. 38.69 crore. Right now, the company’s paid-up capital is Rs. 38.69 crore. After this rights issue, the capital will increase to Rs. 77.39 crore.
As of 5 PM yesterday, CDSC reported that 23,503 shareholders had applied for a total of 2,317,902 right shares, which is worth Rs. 23.17 crore.

The book closure date was on Jestha 2, 2082. This means that only shareholders who held shares before this date are eligible to apply for the new right shares.
