NAASA Securities Becomes Jersey Sponsor of Nepal Men’s National Cricket Team

NAASA Securities Limited has signed an agreement to become the official jersey sponsor of the Nepal men’s national cricket team. The announcement was made during a program held in Kathmandu on Sunday, where the new jersey featuring the NAASA Securities logo was unveiled by Tanka Lal Ghising, Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC), and Chatur Bahadur Chand, President of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).

According to CAN Secretary Paras Khadka, NAASA Securities will pay Rs. 2 crore 36 lakh annually for the sponsorship. Under the three-year agreement, the total sponsorship amount will reach Rs. 7 crore 8 lakh.

Earlier, on Chaitra 11, 2081, CAN had called for applications for the official jersey sponsorship for the first time, but no companies submitted applications. A second call was issued on Shrawan 13, 2082, attracting initial interest from three companies: Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited, MAW Group, and NAASA Securities.

Sources at CAN stated that although MAW Group deposited the required Rs. 30,000 security amount into CAN’s account at Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited’s Durbar Marg branch, it did not submit the final application before the deadline. Ultimately, only Nepal Life Insurance and NAASA Securities participated in the bidding process, with NAASA Securities offering the highest bid to secure the sponsorship rights for three years.

As part of the deal, the NAASA Securities logo will feature on the Nepal national cricket team’s jerseys for the next three years.
