Ncell has added 20 new 4G towers across Madhesh, Koshi, and Bagmati Provinces within the past 10 days, significantly enhancing connectivity and data quality for customers nationwide.
In a major move to strengthen its 4G coverage, Ncell Axiata Ltd has successfully brought 20 new mobile towers into operation across various locations within the last 10 days. The expansion enables customers in these areas to experience improved voice quality and high-speed mobile data services.
According to the company, the new installations are part of Ncell’s ongoing initiative to extend network reach and enhance service quality. The majority of the new towers have been deployed in Madhesh Province, followed by Bagmati and Koshi Provinces.
Following the resumption of facilitation from the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), Ncell accelerated its tower installation efforts even during the festive season. The company successfully activated 20 new sites in record time, ensuring better 4G connectivity and coverage for thousands of customers across the regions.
In Madhesh Province, Ncell installed 13 new towers in Parwanipur (Bara), Pokharia, Pakahamainpur, and Birgunj (Parsa); Balan Bihul (Saptari); Janakpur, Kataiya, Kamala, and Bideha (Dhanusha); Kaudena and Motipur (Sarlahi); and Yamunamai and Madhav Narayan (Rautahat).
In Koshi Province, six new towers have been brought into operation in Inaruwa, Barju, Harinagar, and Gadhi (Sunsari); and Babiyabirta and Majhare (Morang).
In Bagmati Province, one new tower was installed in Hetauda (Makawanpur).
“We are expanding and enhancing our 4G network in line with our commitment to strengthen digital connectivity across Nepal,” said Upanga Dutta, Chief Consumer Business Officer of Ncell. “In less than 10 days, we have successfully brought 20 new towers into operation, ensuring wider access to modern mobile broadband and quality voice services. Within the next two days, we plan to activate 10 more towers to better serve our customers.”
Even during periods when the import of new equipment was restricted, Ncell continued to expand and upgrade its network using existing and spare equipment, successfully installing and operating more than 40 new towers across the country.
Under its ongoing 4G expansion and enhancement plan, Ncell aims to install over 170 additional new towers across all provinces within the next two months. This continued rollout will further strengthen network access and improve Quality of Service (QoS) for customers nationwide.
Launched in May 2017, Ncell’s 4G service now covers all 77 districts of Nepal, providing access to more than 95 percent of the country’s population. The service continues to deliver world-class connectivity and superior user experience through advanced mobile broadband technology.
