Nepal Oil Corporation Cuts Petrol and Diesel Prices

Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a reduction in petroleum product prices. The board of directors, in a meeting held today, decided that retail petrol prices will decrease by NPR 4 per liter and diesel/motor oil prices by NPR 5 per liter. The new rates will come into effect from Wednesday at 12:00 AM.

Under the new pricing structure, petrol prices have been set at NPR 156.50 per liter for Category 1, NPR 158 per liter for Category 2, and NPR 159 per liter for Category 3. Diesel/motor oil prices are NPR 134.50 per liter for Category 1, NPR 136 per liter for Category 2, and NPR 137 per liter for Category 3.

The cities under each category are as follows: Category 1 includes Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Balbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj. Category 2 covers Surkhet and Dang, while Category 3 includes Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal. The corporation has stated that these revised prices will be implemented immediately in the respective regions.
