The initiative aims to equip early-stage entrepreneurs across Nepal with practical skills needed to build sustainable businesses, attract investment, and compete in regional and global markets. The program began in Nepalgunj, Lumbini Province, and will continue in Dhangadhi, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Hetauda, Bhairahawa, and Pokhara, covering all seven provinces. Around 200 entrepreneurs are expected to participate in a combination of in-person workshops and virtual bootcamps.

Training sessions focus on business fundamentals, market validation, investor communication, digital marketing, and export readiness. These core skills are designed to help entrepreneurs transform innovative ideas into viable businesses, create jobs, scale operations, and contribute to Nepal’s long-term economic growth.

“Entrepreneurs are essential for economic growth and innovation,” said Mike Harker, Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Nepal. “By supporting Nepalese founders in building scalable businesses, this program strengthens the private sector and creates new opportunities for trade and commercial collaboration between the U.S. and Nepal.”

This initiative is part of a broader U.S.-Nepal commercial diplomacy effort, promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and private sector development to expand economic ties. By providing practical training, mentorship, and connections with investors and industry experts, the program helps entrepreneurs refine business models, scale ventures, and explore partnerships with U.S. firms. Expanding access to entrepreneurship support nationwide, it strengthens Nepal’s innovation ecosystem and advances U.S.-Nepal economic cooperation.

The program is implemented by IDI and Adyant Advisory, in collaboration with the U.S. Commercial Service in Nepal and The Global Impact Collective.
