Several areas will be affected by the project, including parts of Bandipur Rural Municipality-6, Vyas Municipality-13 and 14, Devghat Rural Municipality-2, 3 and 4, Rising Rural Municipality-1 and 3, Abukhaireni Rural Municipality-5 and 6, and Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29.

A semi-underground powerhouse will be built in Gaighat, Devghat Rural Municipality-4, for power generation. The electricity produced will be connected to the 220 KV Damauli-New Bharatpur transmission line, which was built by the Tanahu Hydropower Project, and then integrated into the national electricity grid.

Overall, the project will produce 52 crore units of electricity each year.
