Vice Chancellor of Patan Academy of Health Sciences, Dr. Nabish Man Singh Pradhan, said that ambulance service with doctor is a big step to improve pre-hospital care. He mentioned that such service is available in only few places in the world, and praised Lalitpur’s effort.

Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Chiri Babu Maharjan, shared that he got this idea after visiting Makati City in Philippines. The concept was taken forward after the ninth municipal assembly passed the proposal and managed required budget for it.

Service Target and Collaboration

According to metropolis, the ambulance aims to reach the spot within 15 minutes after getting phone call. The doctor will provide necessary initial treatment at the spot and then take patient to their preferred hospital.

For running this service, Lalitpur Metropolitan City and Patan Academy of Health Sciences has collaborated. Lalitpur Metro will bear all the expenses and services of the doctors.
