NEPSE Urges Listed Companies to Pay Annual Renewal Fees by Mid-Ashwin to Avoid Suspension

Nepal Stock Exchange has requested all listed companies to pay their annual renewal fees for the fiscal year 2083/84 by mid-Ashwin.

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) issued a notice on Wednesday asking all listed companies to submit their annual renewal fees for the fiscal year 2083/84 within the month of Ashwin. If companies fail to pay this fee on time, NEPSE warned that they will have to face a 10 percent annual penalty and their share listing could also get suspended.

According to the notice, NEPSE has made it clear that late payments will attract 10 percent yearly fine on the renewal amount. Furthermore, as per Regulation 16 of the Securities Listing Regulations 2075, NEPSE can suspend the transaction of securities of those companies who do not clear their dues in time.

Structure of Annual Renewal Fees

As per the rules of securities listing, companies having paid-up capital up to Rs 50 crore need to pay Rs 50,000 as annual renewal fee. On other hand, those companies who have paid-up capital more than Rs 50 crore must pay Rs 1 lakh.

Similarly, for debentures and mutual funds, the fee is Rs 25,000 if their capital is up to Rs 50 crore. For mutual funds and debentures with capital above Rs 50 crore, annual renewal fee of Rs 50,000 has been fixed by NEPSE.
