Four Awards at FLAME Awards Asia

Storm Communications Nepal Pvt. Ltd. has won four awards at the FLAME Awards Asia 2026, held in New Delhi on August 10, 2026. The agency received two Gold and two Silver awards across events, activations, influencer marketing and fintech.

The agency’s biggest recognition came with the Gold for Emerging Markets Agency of the Year. The award recognises Storm Communications Nepal’s work in activation, events, experiential and BTL marketing.

Storm Nepal also won Gold for Best Use of Regional/Vernacular Influencers and Silver for Best Government/Public Sector Exhibition for its work on Creators Mela, the U.S. Embassy Nepal’s creator-economy initiative.

Creators Mela Draws 5,000+ Participants

The 2026 edition of Creators Mela brought together more than 5,000 aspiring content creators, along with over 50 creators, industry experts and performers.

The platform has developed into a hub for Nepal’s emerging creator economy, connecting young talent with knowledge, technology, brands, entrepreneurs and commercial opportunities.

The 2026 edition was organised across three cities in Nepal by Storm Communications Nepal in partnership with strategy partner Elephant & Castle. Elephant & Castle led the programme strategy, developed the theme and managed influencer engagement.

U.S.–Nepal Commercial Connection

Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief at the U.S. Embassy Nepal, said the recognition reflects the contribution of Storm Communications Nepal, Elephant & Castle and the wider team behind Creators Mela.

According to Harker, the initiative is also helping strengthen the U.S.–Nepal commercial connection by supporting Nepali creators in building businesses through American digital tools, AI platforms and global commercial networks.

Silver for UPI Campaign

Storm Communications Nepal also secured a Silver award in the BFSI/Fintech category for its UPI campaign, which promoted the use of UPI for payments in Nepal.

The campaign focused on consumer education and on-ground activations at key India–Nepal border areas, helping travellers and consumers understand and adopt the cross-border digital payment solution.

FLAME Awards

Instituted in 2006, the FLAME Awards have evolved from a rural marketing-focused recognition platform into an awards programme covering marketing excellence across India and Asia’s emerging markets.

The awards recognise innovation, credibility and leadership across the marketing ecosystem, including corporates, PSUs, media organisations, development organisations, technology platforms and specialist agencies.

Storm Communications Nepal’s four awards across four submissions include two Golds and two Silvers, with the Emerging Markets Agency of the Year award being the agency’s highest recognition at the event.
