The Embassy of India in Kathmandu has announced job openings for medical and technical staff at their ECHS polyclinics located in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dharan, and Kohalpur.
Details of the Vacancies
The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), which provides free medical services to former Indian soldiers and their families, is looking to fill several positions. These jobs are for a one-year contract period. The working hours are set for 48 hours per week, which means eight hours a day for six days.
Position Requirements and Salary
For the Kathmandu regional center and polyclinic, they need a Medical Officer who has an MBBS degree and three years of experience, with a salary of Rs 1,52,000. They also want a Nursing Assistant with a BSc Nursing or GNM degree and five years of experience, who will get Rs 58,400. A Radiographer position is also open for those with a diploma and five years of experience, paying Rs 44,800. In Pokhara, a Radiologist is needed with an MD or MS degree and three to five years of experience, with a monthly salary of Rs 2,08,000.
The Dharan polyclinic is looking for a Medical Specialist with an MD, MS, or DNB degree and five years of experience, offering Rs 2,08,000. They also need a driver who has completed the 8th grade and holds a class-1 license with five years of experience; the salary for this role is Rs 40,960. Furthermore, the Kohalpur polyclinic requires a Dental Hygienist with a diploma and five years of experience, providing a salary of Rs 58,400. The age limit for these positions ranges between 53 and 63 years, and former Indian soldiers are given priority for these roles.
