The scheduled session of the House of Representatives for today was postponed without convening, now set to resume on Sunday, Jestha 25. The delay came after the ruling and opposition parties failed to reach a consensus on how to proceed with the parliamentary proceedings.
The opposition parties are demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak over the controversial visit visa scandal. They have also called for the formation of a high-level investigation committee to probe the matter.
In a joint opposition meeting, they asserted that Minister Lekhak, who is implicated in the visa controversy, should resign and fully cooperate with the investigation.
