Citizens Sabadhabar Yojana, the first open-ended mutual fund under Citizens Mutual Fund, has successfully closed its unit allocation process with a 25% oversubscription, marking a milestone in Nepal’s capital market.

Citizens Capital Limited, the plan manager of Citizens Sabadhabar Yojana, has officially completed the allotment of units for Nepal’s first open-ended mutual fund to be oversubscribed by 25%. The issue, which opened on Ashadh 13, 2082 and closed on Ashadh 27, received overwhelming demand via C-ASBA member banks and financial institutions, exceeding the number of units initially offered.

Following the high demand, the unit allocation was finalized on Shrawan 15, 2082 (Thursday at 10:30 AM) at the office of Citizens Capital Limited, Dillibazar, Kathmandu, in the presence of representatives from the fund manager, fund promoter Citizens Bank International Ltd., CDS and Clearing Limited, and a few investors. The allotment result has been published on the websites of Citizens Capital and CDSC IPO Results.

This scheme has now set a record by becoming Nepal’s first open-ended mutual fund to be oversubscribed by 25%—a historic moment for Nepal’s financial market. The company extended heartfelt gratitude to all investors, well-wishers, regulatory bodies, ASBA member institutions, media personnel, and all other stakeholders who contributed to the success of the issuance.

Citizens Capital, led by Chairperson Rajendra Lal Shrestha and CEO Sabir Bade Shrestha, continues to introduce innovative financial services including financial advisory, portfolio management (PMS), and mutual fund services. It operates as a subsidiary of Citizens Bank International Ltd. and includes co-investment from Karmachari Sanchaya Kosh and renowned industrialists.

Headquartered at Batule Ghar, Dillibazar, Kathmandu, the company has also addressed the challenge faced by out-of-valley investors by offering PMS services through all Citizens Bank branches across Nepal, ensuring access to expert portfolio management services nationwide.
