Asian Hydropower Advances Two Grid-Connected Solar PV Projects

Asian Hydropower Limited has initiated the process to develop two grid-connected Solar PV projects. The company received a Letter of Intent (LOI) after being selected through the competitive bidding process conducted by the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

According to the bidding provisions, companies selected for the construction of solar energy projects are required to establish a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to sign the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). In line with this requirement, separate companies have already been established for both solar projects, with Asian Hydropower holding share ownership in each of them.

The company stated that the Power Purchase Agreements for both projects have now been successfully executed with the Nepal Electricity Authority, marking a key milestone in advancing the solar projects toward implementation.
