The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) bounced back today, rising by 26.10 points (0.99%) to close at 2,640.78, ending a six-day losing streak. This recovery comes after the index dropped by 53.04 points in the previous trading session.
The market opened at 2,610.46 and experienced fluctuations throughout the day, reaching a high of 2,645.99 and a low of 2,592.32. A total of Rs. 4.48 billion was traded, with 9,739,738 shares exchanged across 326 companies in 58,235 transactions.
Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) recorded the highest turnover, with trades worth Rs. 3.26 billion, closing at Rs. 966.60. Guardian Micro Life Insurance Limited (GMLI) was the top gainer, soaring by 9.51%, while Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) saw the biggest decline, falling by 4.26%.
Sector-wise, the Finance Index led with a 3.52% gain, while the Mutual Fund Index saw a modest rise of 0.44%.
