New Rates for Different Egg Sizes

According to new price list, the price of XL size eggs has reached Rs. 605 per crate. Similarly, large eggs will now cost Rs. 590 per crate, and medium-sized eggs are priced at Rs. 550 per crate.

The association said that they have increased the prices of all types of eggs except the small ones. The price of small eggs remains same at Rs. 458 per crate. This is the price supported by farms, whereas normal consumers have to pay Rs. 25 per piece in retail.

Comparing with Old Prices

Before this hike, XL eggs were priced at Rs. 590 per crate. Likewise, large eggs cost Rs. 575, and medium eggs were sold at Rs. 535 per crate. The price of small eggs was already Rs. 458 per crate previously as well.

The association shared that they had to increase the prices because the supply of eggs went down due to a decrease in production across the country.
