CDSC Urges Demat Account Renewal; Unpaid Accounts Will Be Blocked from Shrawan 16

The CDSC has urged investors to renew their Demat accounts and warned that unpaid accounts will be blocked from Shrawan 16.

CDS and Clearing Limited (CDSC) has issued a reminder to all investors regarding timely payment of their annual Demat (beneficiary) account renewal fees. The company states that as per regulations, the yearly fee must be paid through the respective Depository Participant (DP) before the current fiscal year ends.

According to CDSC, there is a provision for the related depository members to block the beneficiary accounts of investors who do not submit their annual fees within the set timeframe.

Although the annual fee should have been paid by the end of Ashar, the company has announced that the ‘Mero Share’ service will remain operational until Shrawan 15. This extension aim to minimize inconvenience for those beneficiaries who have not yet paid their fees.

However, CDSC has made it clear that any beneficiary accounts for which the annual fee has not been paid will be blocked starting from Shrawan 16.
