The Nepal Rastra Bank has invited international bids for the design, minting, and supply of 40 crore pieces of one rupee coins.


Details of the Tender

The Currency Management Department of Nepal Rastra Bank has published a notice for qualified security minting companies. They need to handle the design and minting of 40 crore coins of one rupee denomination. The notice was published on Ashoj 18, 2083. Interested companies must submit their bids in two separate envelopes for technical and financial parts.

Submission and Meeting Process

Interested parties can buy the bid documents from the Currency Management Department in Thapathali or the Minting Division in Babarmahal. The cost for these documents is Rs. 20,000, 131 USD, or 115 Euro. This amount should be paid by Kartik 17, 2083. A pre-bid meeting is also scheduled for Ashoj 29, 2083, at 12:00 PM at the bank office in Thapathali.

Important Deadlines and Requirements

Bidders must submit their proposals to the Currency Management Department by 12:00 PM on Kartik 18, 2083. The bank will open the bids at 1:00 PM on the same day in front of the representatives. The bid must stay valid for 120 days from the day it opened. Also, the bidders need to provide a bid security of 1,48,000 USD or an equivalent amount in other currency. This security must be valid until Chaitra 20, 2083.
